1. Payment Options

  • Pay on Delivery (POD): Cash, M-Pesa, or Card upon delivery.
  • Advance Payment: Full online payment via M-Pesa, Card, or Mobile Money before delivery.

2. Payment Terms

  • High-value items (e.g., machinery, bulk orders) require a 50% deposit in advance.
  • For Pay on Delivery, payment must be completed upon delivery confirmation.
  • Orders will not be released without required payment.

3. Service-Specific Payment Terms

  • Gym Trainers, Nutritionists, and Chefs: Full payment is required at the time of booking. No booking is confirmed without payment.
  • Outside Catering & Events:
    • For events with more than 10 people: A 50% deposit is required before the event.
    • For events with 10 people or fewer: Full payment is made at the end of the event.
    • Remaining balances (if any) must be cleared on the same day after the event ends.
  • Night Orders (7:01 PM – 6:59 AM): Must be paid in full before dispatch.
  • Day Orders (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM): Can use any of the available payment options (Pay on Delivery or Advance Payment).

4. Payment Window & Delays

  • Payment must be completed within 15 minutes of delivery arrival.
  • If delayed, the rider will wait up to 15 minutes, then return the item (order canceled).
  • Re-delivery requires an extra fee and full advance payment.
  • Exceptions like M-Pesa downtime will be reviewed case-by-case.

5. Fees

  • Delivery Fee: Varies by distance and order size.
  • Service Fee: Covers order processing, packaging, Taxes, customer support, and platform maintenance.

6. Refunds & Cancellations

  • Canceled Orders: Refunds may be processed, minus delivery and service fees.
  • Refund Timeframe: Within 7–14 business days (via M-Pesa/Card).
  • Non-refundable: Perishable or custom items unless defective.

7. Disputes & Chargebacks

  • Report payment issues within 48 hours via support@instapilau.com.
  • All chargebacks are subject to PCI-DSS standards investigation.
  • Accounts involved in unauthorized chargebacks may be suspended.

8. Force Majeure

We are not liable for service delays or cancellations caused by events beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, strikes, or network outages).
